Time: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Location: Ms. Gebauer's classroom Panther Hall 203

Instructors: Nease Mathematics teacher Ms. Gebauer

Cost: $225 which includes handouts, sample tests & 7 hours of instruction

Background:

Having taught mathematics for 21 years and privately tutored many students in ACT/SAT math, Ms.

Gebauer is confident the course will increase students’ SAT scores and improve multiple-choice

test taking strategies (also applicable to ACT, FSA and AP tests).

The course will include:

Several SAT practice sections/tests, test taking strategies with time management skills
SAT math test taking skills with different methods of mathematics problem solving
Critical areas of mathematics review (Algebra 1, Geometry and Algebra 2) and practice for complex mathematical calculations for the SAT Math Test with Calculator section, which includes 38 questions to be completed in 55 minutes.
SAT Math Test without Calculator section has 20 questions completed in 25 minutes testing fluency in mathematics concepts and topics; this boot camp will focus on practicing and reviewing these skills and concepts for the multiple choice and gridded response questions.

Participants will need to purchase and bring the following book, directly from College Board: The Official SAT Study Guide 2020 Edition by the College Board. Link: https://store.collegeboard.org/sto/catalog.do?category=325&
Participants will be given a ½ hour lunch break and will need to bring their own lunch. They will not be allowed to leave campus and return.
The PTSO will offer a few need-based “scholarships” for the Boot Camp. Please contact Ms. Kennedy in the Guidance Center.
